Visitors are welcome at First United Methodist Church

Welcome to the First United Methodist Church of Stillwater, Minnesota. Along with the members of the church, I would like to invite you to worship with us. We hope to make your visit an experience which is spiritually enriching. And we have a special gift for you when you introduce yourself at the welcoming booth inside the building entrance.

If you are new to the Stillwater area, we understand that this brings many changes into your life. However, in the midst of change, it is our hope that you will find a warm welcome in this church family. These webpages will inform you of various congregational activities, and other information which we hope will help answer some of your questions about this congregation and the United Methodist Church.

Join us for worship Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
and stay for coffee, snacks and fellowship at 10:30 a.m.

An additional service is held during the summer at 8:00 a.m. at the Sunnyside Marina on the beautiful St. Croix River.


We are family friendly!

We welcome children of ALL ages.

Nursery care is provided from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m. for children up to age 4.

Children’s Church is for children four years old through fourth grade. During worship, they will meet for a BIBLE STORY, SINGING, ART PROJECTS AND FREE PLAY. Children join parents for worship until they are dismissed following the children’s sermon. Parents will pick up their children from Children's Choir in the Sanctuary at 10:40 a.m.

Sunday School for children and youth age 3 and older follows Worship and fellowship starting at 10:45 a.m. No Sunday School is provided during the summer.

Adults are invited to the "Conversations" forum in the Wesley Room at 10:45 a.m. from September through May.

Free parking is available at the front and rear (lower level) doors.


Our building is handicapped accessible.
