CHILDREN MINISTRY
Children's Time
Pastor Mark invites all children to join him during Sunday Worship for this special time for them. Children of all ages will learn from his lesson.
Sunday School
Sunday School is held Sundays from Rally Day (the Sunday following Labor Day) through May at 10:45 a.m. Classes are held for pre-schoolers through junior high school students. Grades K-6 are part of our new rotation Sunday School called "Bibleland Express." Units are 4-6 weeks long and the children experience the stories in a different way each week. Stations include: art, science, cooking, games, music, story telling, and video.
Children’s Church
Children’s Church is for children four years old through fourth grade. During worship, they will meet for a bible story, singing, art projects and free play. Children join parents for worship until they are dismissed following the children’s sermon. Parents will pick up their children from choir practice in the Sanctuary at 10:40 a.m.
Children's Choir
Children who love to sing can join our choir director after worship in the Sanctuary from 10:30-10:40 a.m. for a short, but very sweet, time of singing.
Nursery During Worship
A nursery is provided every Sunday during Worship service and Sunday School for children through age three.
Wednesday Program
Kids' Club is a monthly after-school program for grades 1-6 held during the school year. Students gather from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m. for various fun, study, crafts and music. Snacks are provided, and transportation is available from local schools.
Community Bible School
First United Methodist Church participates in the Stillwater area Community Bible School for 1 week in June.
Bible Presentation
Bibles are presented every September to 3rd graders during the Worship service.
Camping
Our church actively participates in the camping programs of the Minnesota Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Many of our children attend local day camps and week-long camps. Several of our members are deans or counselors at UMC camps. Some of our families also enjoy attending Family Camps in greater Minnesota.
The United Methodist Women (UMW) of our church graciously supports our camping program by offering financial support through camperships. Click here for links to more information about United Methodist Camping.
